What are Portrait Parties

Portrait Parties are a fun and convenient opportunity to capture beautiful professional images of your children while earning credit toward your own enlargement order. Events take place at a friend or family member’s home, where the children are comfortable. Parties are a special events offered by portrait photographer, Joy Hamilton.

The hostess and each guest family, will be scheduled for a 15-minute photography session. In that time period, I will capture a minimum of 8 images of your child(ren). During the 15-minute session, images of groups, individuals or a combination of both can be taken. You may even want to include yourself in the photographs.

Portrait Parties are not meant to capture family portraits. Trying to capture a family portrait in this abbreviated time frame does not work well. When I come to your home, I bring a smaller, travel-size version of my backgrounds. It is really not large enough to accommodate full-family portraits effectively. If you and your guests were looking for family portraits a full studio session should be scheduled.

The hostess of a Portrait Party event, earns commission credit on the amount of total print sales. This credit will be used toward your own print order. Hostesses can earn enough credit to cover the entire cost of their prints! There is also an opportunity to earn hostess gifts based on attendance, completed number of orders, etc.
