Quite a few of my clients ask what they should wear to a photo session. When I am providing suggestions, I take into account the type of portrait the family is looking for…something more formal? something casual on the beach?

Below are a few ideas that I put together.  The first style set would be great at just about any outdoor location! It is a nice change from the usual white/khaki pairings that have become the norm for outdoor portraits. The second& third style sets might be something that you’d wear on a beach session. Again, if you’re tired of the same ole white/khaki look for beach portraits - try throwing a little blue or yellow in there - after all - you’ll go with the color of the ocean & sand in the background of your images!

All styles can be found at these following locations: (www.gap.com, www.oldnavy.com, or www.belk.com)

Beach Art

(click on image for larger view)

Or just being down at the coast? I will be down in Carteret County the weekend of August 8th and 9th. This is the weekend of the Beaufort Pyrate Invasion . (ARRRGHHH) If you’ve thought of getting beach portraits done, and you’re going to be down there enjoying the festivities, this might be the perfect opportunity to get them done.

Portraits do not have to be on the beach– maybe you’d like to do them on the Beaufort or Morehead Waterfront, Fort Macon, or even at your beach/soundfront home!

If you are interested in scheduling a session for that weekend, call me soon as time slots are limited!

The usual travel fee ($100) included on beach sessions will be waived this weekend! Also, if you’d like a Beach Art Print (as pictured on the right) you can select up to 3 of your favorite images to be included in a Beach Art collage or print. Regular $75 in addtion to print size price…Special for Pyrate Invasion Weekend $50.
